Foum Zguid

Name: Foum Zguid
Location: Jebel Bani, Morocco
Type: Octahedrite, Coarsest, IIAB
This meteorite was discovered in 1998. A 6 kilogram iron meteorite
was found in the desert by a person hunting meteorites. The finder
of this meteorite thought that they had a piece of the Zagora silicated
iron as this was found in the Zagora strewn field area. Cutting and
etching this iron quickly showed it to be a new meteorite.
This meteorite was published in the Meteoritical Society Bulletin No. 83
