location are not found by hunters. It seems that every nomad
in the Sahara is searching for meteorites. So many new meteorites
are being found nowadays that it is pretty much impossible to
get a meteorite classified because all of the worlds labs are
swamped with requests to classify desert meteorites. They are
bought in Morocco, majority of them are coming from Algeria,
Mauritania and the whole Africa continent. The reliability of
locality information associated with these meteorites is lost
due to vast middlemen chains carrying rocks through hundred or
thousand kilometers of desert. All such meteorites are henceforth
numbered in a "Northwest Africa" (NWA) series. People have found
ureilites, CO3,s CVs, acapulcoites and lots of LLs in these
unsearched selections. Mostly of course you get common Hs and
Ls but you never know what you will find.
