In 1875 large masses, with the total weight of about 7000 kilograms
were found in clay overlying granite on the island of Sao Francisco,
Lunay. Additional pieces weighing 2250 kg, 1500 kg, 450 kg, 375 kg,
300 kg and 300 kg were recovered. The total weight may have been as
much as 25000 kilograms but, most of it appears to have been sent to
England to be smelted for nickel.

Never published in the Meteoritical Society Bulletins but some information is available.
