Several years ago, I purchased these as tektites from Tibet. It was at a time in
history when Tibet was very much in the news and the slogan Free Tibet was
everywhere. I believe someone took a Guang Dong Tektite and renamed it Tibetanite
for sale to rich people to rase money for Tibet. But then again, they could be raising money
for themselves. As of today, I see no proof that any tektites were ever found in Tibet.
